Aluminum, one of the basic elements, is the most abundant metal in the earth's crust and is used in a huge variety of products where its strength and light weight are assets. It can be polished to a beautiful shine, and can even be used on the surface of glass to make mirrors. Aluminum is easily warmed in hot water and retains its heat better than silicone products.

We use an anodized aluminum for our products. Not only does anodizing protect the surface of aluminum by making it much harder, it also makes the aluminum inert, meaning that it will not react chemically with the body. Anodizing, which can be used to dye the aluminum bright colors, is an electrochemical process where oxide is grown out of the surface to form a very hard coating. Anodized aluminum is often used on aluminum cookware and medical devices, but it can be used for purely fun toys, as well.
